So I had a great meeting yesterday with Ashley and Travis about their upcoming Autumn wedding at Gallrein Farms in LaGrange, Kentucky. I am also super stoked about shooting their engagement session at Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky. I had the joy of meeting Miss Ashley a couple years back at a wedding I photographed where she was the maid of honor.

Ok, so this one I keep in the family.. I'm so thrilled to call him my latest family cousin... He's a gorgeous gift from God and named for his late and kind grandfather. This little man has dreamer eyes and is sure to be a ladies man when he grows up. He's a gorgeous babe that I just had to photograph in heavenly natural light. I like to think he's a special man with angels all around him. :-) Here he is!

Well, it's round two for this sweet little gal I'll call baby "P". Her parents enrolled her in the Tracy D baby plan. Remember a few months ago I took her pictures as a newborn - - she came straight from the hospital to the studio before going home for the first time... This baby girl is beautiful and oh so feisty. A true red head. I can say that, because my oldest is a red head (19 years old) and he has truly been a feisty son. :-)

Tracy D Portraits Photography Studio is participating in the Charity Model Search to select America’s Cutest Kid and to raise funds for the non-profit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation. (NILMDTS.org)
Is your child America’s Cutest Kid? We’ll give you the opportunity to prove it! The prizewinners will receive a generous savings bond and gift cards!
Model Search Special:
$25 entrance fee includes a 20-minute model session and one image submitted to the international gallery.
Finalists will be determined by online votes. Each vote is $1 (no limit on the amount of votes you can cast), and all proceeds from votes benefit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTS.org). The top 25 vote receivers will move on to the final judging round to determine the winners.
Grand prize winner and runners up will be determined from the 25 finalists. The winner and runners up are selected by photography experts.

One crisp, beautiful fall afternoon I ventured north to Austin, Indiana where I had the opportunity to photograph one very sport couple.. Amy Austin and her fiance' Chad Gilbert. How lucky did I get to not only sign two gorgeous people but to photograph them in equally impressive surroundings? Looking forward to their beautiful wedding next summer. Here are a few sneak peeks of the the couple, sporting their state championship basketball rings. :-) Oh yeah, did I forget to mention - - the groom is a staggering six foot eight something and the bride is quite tall herself... But, it was all fun, and they were game for anything. :-)

Well, I went back to the "secret garden" the other day (many days actually). That place is abuzz in the fall. So many people enjoying the beautiful scenery and TONS of photographers... Well, I try to be different but there's only so much you can do when the Mount is as beautiful as it is and utterly hard to resist. I need to go back there without my camera and just soak up the beauty and peacefulness of that retreat.
